Family
André Braugher was known for playing Frank Pembleton in Homicide: Life on the Street and Captain Raymond Holt in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and he won two Emmy Awards. Ami Brabson is an actress and producer who also appeared in Homicide: Life on the Street as Mary Pembleton. André and Ami married in 1991, and the family home was in New Jersey.
André Braugher died on 11 December 2023, aged 61, and John Wesley was listed among his survivors. That death — André’s, not John Wesley’s — is the death that reliable obituaries report for this family. There is no publicly confirmed report of John Wesley Braugher’s death.
His brothers
The three brothers, in order, are Michael, Isaiah, and John Wesley. Michael, born in 1992, is the eldest and is the family’s acting story: he trained at Juilliard, made his Broadway debut in To Kill a Mockingbird in 2021, and appeared in The Gilded Age Season 2. Isaiah and John Wesley, by contrast, are described in reliable coverage as private, and little about their own careers is publicly confirmed.
A private life
John Wesley is a private person. His education and career are not publicly confirmed in reliable sources, and low-authority profiles that list schools or interests are not treated as proof here. The same applies to his residence, relationships, and social media: where reliable sources do not confirm a detail, this article does not present it as fact.
